Healthier sweet treats? Right this way 😉

By now it’s obvious that I’m obsessed with sweet treats. And not that traditional treats don’t have their place in my life, but the healthier varieties give me some deep soulful joy.
When I can have the same flavors and textures I crave, with more stable blood sugar spikes afterwards, clearer skin, better gut health, and happier hormones, I’m like why would you NOT try it this way?
My dessert recipes sneak in fiber, a little protein, and always use healthy fats. And almost all of my recipes are also gluten free, while ALL of them are refined sugar free. Honestly there are so many natural sweeteners, there’s zero need for refined sugar imo!
And now on to the Valentine’s Day yumminess (or any day, but I just happy to love, love day♥️)
Fudgy Blondies
gluten free, refined sugar free, real food ingredients
1 egg
2 tbsp almond butter (or peanut butter)
3 tbsp maple syrup
½ cup Greek yogurt
¾ cup almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of both sea salt + baking soda
1 good quality dark chocolate bar, chopped (or 1/3 cup chocolate chips)
MAKE IT
Preheat oven to 350F. Add all wet ingredients to a bowl, and mix well until fully incorporated.
Add in all dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Pour into a parchment lined baking tray, and bake for 20 minutes. The longer you bake, the more cakey it becomes, the less, the more fudgy. Enjoy 🙂
