HONEY POPCORN

With just 5 simple ingredients, you'll be enjoying a delicious homemade snack in no time.

Honey Popcorn Ingredients:

· ¼ cup popcorn kernels (unpopped)
· 1 tbsp coconut oil or avocado oil
· ¼ cup favorite honey
· ½ tbsp butter

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Start by making the popcorn. Heat a wide pot with oil of choice on medium/high heat. Add popcorn and stir to coat in oil. When it starts to pop, cover and let almost all the kernels pop. Watch carefully!

  2. Melt honey and butter in microwave for 20 seconds or until butter has melted into the honey.

  3. On a baking sheet, add popcorn and honey mixture and incorporate with hands so that all the popcorn has some of the mixture on it.

  4. Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes or until popcorn is crispy and golden. Let cool slightly and enjoy! 🙂

Tips for Making the Perfect Honey Popcorn

  • Use high quality popcorn (I like Orville Redinbacher )

  • If you use unrefined coconut oil, there will be a slight coconut-y taste. I personally love that, but I’d you don’t, use refined or use avocado oil for a more neutral flavor.

  • Watch popcorn carefully to ensure it doesn’t burn! A whole pot only takes a couple minutes to pop. Medium/high heat is best.

Store your honey popcorn on the counter, loosely covered, for up to 2 days.
· Experiment with different types of honey, like clover or manuka, for unique flavors.
