GUT BALANCING PARFAIT BOWL
We all get a little off track with our gut, some more than others, ✋! Adding in lots of gut feeding foods to the day can help restore balance. I am someone that has to prioritize gut health regularly in order to feel good. I’ve gotten into a rhythm with it though, and I enjoy the foods that make me feel good. This bowl is one of my go to snacks, with only intention ingredients that nourish the body and feed that beautiful microbiome.
Why is this bowl gut balancing?
Melons: fiber
Kiwi: fiber, high in antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties
Flaxmeal: fiber, especially the soluble fiber which helps create a “gel” in the gut so food moves through smoothly. The lignans found in flaxseed can also help with fertility and reduce inflammation and improve hormone levels.
Dates: fiber + high in antioxidants
Bee pollen: concentration of natural bioactive molecules, anti-inflammatory.
Coconut yogurt: probiotics
Ingredients
½ cup coconut yogurt
1 cup chopped melon
handful strawberries (see tips on washing strawberries above!)
1 kiwi, sliced
1 tsp bee pollen
½ tsp flaxmeal
2 dates, chopped
1 tsp coconut shreds
Instructions
In a bowl, layer coconut yogurt, then fruit.
Top with dried boosters!
