CRISPY QUINOA CHOCOLATE BARK

So easy, that you can barely call it a recipe.

Quinoa is a nutritious seed with protein that has all 9 essential amino acids. It’s a good source of fiber, too. So a nice balanced ingredient to add into your regular rotation.

Making quinoa crispy is the easiest way to prepare it, and it is easy to eat, too. Add it to melted chocolate for a fun crunchy, better for you dessert, or sprinkle on salads, sandwiches, or anywhere a little crispy, nutty flavor would go.

Ingredients

  • 1 bar Dark chocolate, melted

  • ¼ cup Quinoa

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pan on high heat. Once it gets hot, add the quinoa.

  2. The quinoa will start popping immediately. Move the pan around so that the seeds don’t burn. Once they are golden (less than a minute), remove from heat.

  3. on a parchment lined baking sheet, pour over melted dark chocolate and smooth it out into a sheet.

  4. sprinkle crispy quinoa on top.

  5. place the baking sheet in the freezer to set for about 30 minutes or so. Enjoy!

  6. Store leftovers (if you have any!) in the freezer.
