PERFECT RICE
I don’t measure when I make rice.
I pour soaked and drained rice in a pot, add liquid until it JUST covers the rice, you want the liquid to go over the rice, but just barely. Then I set it to boil. Once it starts boiling, I turn it down to low and cover it until all the liquid is absorbed.
It’s my super easy, no fuss way of having the PERFECT rice every single time!
Ingredients
½ cups rice, soaked and drained
1 tbsp grassfed butter
1 small container of bone broth (or stock or water)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground cloves
Salt to taste
Instructions
Soak rice in water for at least 1 hour.
Drain completely
Heat a pot on the stove on high heat and melt butter.
Add spices and cook them for about 30 seconds to toast them and bring the flavors out.
Add all of the rice and stir.
Pour in bone broth
Bring to a boil, then reduce all the way to low and cover.
Cook on low until tender and fluffy and all of the liquid is absorbed (about 10 minutes)
