Healthy Candy Bar
An easy, healthy candy bar balanced with fiber, protein, and fat for healthy blood sugar and hormones.
Made with dates, almonds, almond butter, and dark chocolate. When I have a tray of these in the freezer, it’s so fun at the end of the night to grab a piece and indulge in a dessert that doesn’t get be off track, and makes me feel good after eating.
Ingredients
12-15 medjool dates
Almond butter, enough to make a thin coating over the dates. (or any nut butter)
chopped roasted almonds, about ¼ cup, just enough to sprinkle on top.
½ bar melted dark chocolate
sea salt
Instructions
On parchment paper (so you don't have to wash any dishes), press dates down in a single layer flat. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just get the dates to stick together into a sheet.
top with a thin layer of nut butter, and chopped almonds.
drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle sea salt on top.
place in freezer to set.
I like to chop them into candy bar sizes and keep them in the freezer. They taste best cold! 🥶
